Who am I?

My name is Kimlin Charise Johnson and I am a realist. What I mean by realist is, that I am not politically correct/incorrect nor am I passive aggressive. I am a strong, God-fearing, happy Black Lady who “calls a spade a spade.”

I have been Black all of my life. And I know one of the first questions my people will ask is, “Who does she think she is?” Therefore, I am 200% “Authentic” throughout my entire book – Authenticity, Accountability and Ambitions (AAA) – What America is Lacking through a Black Woman’s Eyes?

AAA is part history, part memoir and part self-help. Even though my book is for Blacks to start helping Blacks, the goal is for AAA to go mainstream. AAA’s , specific Black challenges, my commitment to make the Black community and America a better place and my Authenticity will help AAA go mainstream. I have been a Project Engineer for over 23 years; with a Bachelor’s and Masters of Science in Civil Engineering, both from Loyola Marymount University (LMU). Engineers’ are taught to solve problems and my commitment to solve the problems in the Black Community are strategic, organized and long overdue.

The B-RELYT Organization, is my non-profit founded this year, which will academically, socially and mentally help youth nationwide. I am certified by Toastmasters as a Competent Communicator and Competent Leader. I served as the first Black female President of the LMU Alumni Association. Not only do I have a plan for the future of Black Americans, I have a strong village of supporters to help make it a reality. Please know that I come from a place of love and need for change. I not only ask and answer the hard questions, I am passionate about the solutions.

“Racism may be as systemic as it always was. It is the great problem of America. It's the one stumbling block that I don't believe was ever smoothed over.”
